Hi, I'm Michelle!

My name is Michelle Alejandra Vega Ramirez or short for MAVR. I moved to Australia when I was 15 from Mexico. I've always known I wanted to work in the creative industry since I was little. After moving it was very hard for me to adapt because everything was so different but the only thing that kept me grounded was knowing that this new beginning would be the start of my creative career.

 

Design for me means opportunity, it means the chance to create a positive impact on the world, and it means to be happy doing what I love.

I don't have a particular style when it comes to design because I like to create something that best suits my clients. For me, that means I have a vision where I need to learn new skills or experiment with different mediums I am in. In saying that I am drawn to colourful designs and I love experimenting with complex typography.

As a designer I have a responsibility to the design industry, to my clients and to my community to maintain a high standard of professionalism. I will follow a professional code of ethics that includes always being respectful of cultural practices, making decisions in the best interest of my clients, upholding confidentiality agreements and being environmentally conscious. As a designer, I understand the importance abiding by copyright and IP rights law; originality and having a unique perspective on design is what I strive to uphold.
