Trattoria Di Roma is a local Italian restaurant located on Christie's Beach. It is owned by a man named Angelo who moved from Italy to Australia. He is also the chef at this establishment. The restaurant is very friendly and inviting. The food accurately represents the Italian roots, and this is also showcased throughout the restaurant decor. The food is high-quality authentic Italian food, and they have a wide selection of wines that customers can enjoy with their food.

The project was to redesign a logo for a brand we loved and thought needed an update. I choose to do Trattoria Di Roma because I love their food but their logo is outdated and I thought it could use an update. After sketching some ideas I concluded that I wanted the logo to be simple, and elegant and clearly show what the restaurant was about.

I designed a logo with the silhouette of a wine bottle as they are well-known for their wide selection of premium South Australian wines, and the fork represents the high-quality hand-made pasta that they serve. I choose to use a Serif font because I think it reflects elegance and luxury but also has a traditional feel. I used the same shade of red they had in their original logo to bring something from their original logo.

The new logo is a lot simpler and very elegant. It represents the main things they sell and it is also consistent with the restaurant decor, feel, and culture. I applied the logo in a few elements such as creating a website with a simple layout that featured the food.
